Congressman and former U.S. Army serviceman Max Rose (D-NY) called Donald Trump a “draft dodger” on Wednesday as he dissected the president’s excuses for why he didn’t serve in the Vietnam War. During his interview with Piers Morgan in the United Kingdom, Trump cycled through a number of rationales as he spoke of how he wasn’t a fan of that war, but “I would not have minded [serving].” As Rose spoke to Kirsten Welker on MSNBC, he wasn’t having it when she asked him about how Trump thinks he made up for his non-service with his administration’s military investments. “There’s nothing he can do now to excuse for that or to make up for it,” Rose said. The congressman continued to bash Trump’s apparent belief in “a la carte service,” remarking on how he enlisted to serve in the Iraq War despite disagreeing with “the greatest foreign policy Continue reading "Max Rose Bashes Trump’s Vietnam Draft Dodge: ‘Nothing He Can Do’ to Excuse How He ‘Didn’t Have the Courage’"

Rep. Max Rose (D-NY) ripped his Democratic colleague Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her “offensive” comments about 9/11 during an appearance on Fox News today. “Let’s be very clear about this, this is insensitive and it’s offensive,” Rose told Fox News anchor Dana Perino this afternoon. “On 9/11 radical terrorists attacked us. New York City lost thousands of people. My district, Staten Island and South Brooklyn, lost hundreds of cops, firemen, first responders, more than any other district in America.” The comments Rose condemned were made by Omar during an event for the Council on American-Islamic Relations severals weeks ago. “CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said — a quote that widely criticized by conservatives for supposedly downplaying the attack. “There’s a lot of pain right Continue reading "Dem Rep. Congressman-elect Max Rose (D-NY) says there’s no way he supports Nancy Pelosi if the House Minority Speaker launches a bid to regain her former position as Speaker of the House. Rose spoke to Neil Cavuto on Monday’s Your World, and at one point, the Fox host brought up Rose’s on-record distaste with the idea of Pelosi leading the Democrat majority in the House of Representatives. This prompted Rose to reiterated that he’s “absolutely not” a supporter of hers and won’t vote for her for the job. When Cavuto brought up the possibility of Pelosi regaining the Speaker’s chair regardless, Rose continued to insist that Democrats are working to decide who should get it, but he’s adamant that “I am not voting for her, no ifs, ands or buts under any circumstances.” Watch above, via Fox News.
