Whoopi Goldberg led The View on Thursday with a defense of Joe Biden and his comments about working with segregationists.
The former vice president is facing criticism for his remarks about how civility in politics is possible because he managed in the past to work with segregationist senators. As Goldberg noted that Biden’s Democratic rivals are pummeling himfor his comments, she let out a deep sigh before remarking that there used to be a lot of racists and civil rights opponents in Congress, and “this is the world as it was”:
Meghan McCain wasn’t happy with the news that Anthony Scaramucci’s wife Deirdre Scaramucci may be joining the Real Housewives of New York cast, “People using the White House to get on reality TV, I just don’t support it.” Deirdre thinks McCain is the pot calling the kettle black.
“Anthony would love for me to do the show,” said Deirdre in a clip of a radio interview played on The View Wednesday. “I just hope that my Trump affiliation, because I know a lot of people in Hollywood dislike the orange man, so I just hope the Cheeto stains on my hands are not on your hands,” said her husband.
McCain, speaking as a “Housewives fanatic,” said “We don’t need her,” and additionally that we shouldn’t be rewarding bad behavior. “Anthony Scaramucci joined the Administration, our government, during a time to only be on TV,” McCain said.

The View hosts Meghan McCain and Sunny Hostin took on the rumors about Joe Biden’s health that are emanating from Fox News, with Hostin saying she thought those rumors were “coming from the White House,” and McCain taking a shot at CNN’s Chris Cillizza for his 2008 coverage of then-candidate John McCain’s health.
On Wednesday morning’s edition of ABC’s The View, discussion of President Donald Trump’s attacks on Biden turned to the implications and rumors about the former veep’s health.
“There’s a lot of things I really hate about primary politics, but one of them is health conspiracies,” McCain said. “I hate it, it happened with my father, it happened with Michele Bachmann, thank you Chris Cillizza, by the way, for doing that to both of them.”

Former UN Ambassador and Republican governor Nikki Haley volleyed back at The View’sWhoopi Goldberg criticizing her anti-abortion stance this week, using a video to contrast Haley’s statements with Goldberg’s on The View.
“I’m not going to get in the gutter with Whoopi,” Haley wrote in a tweet.
“Whoopi is ok if they disagree on the topic but doesn’t want to be misrepresented out of context to help further a differing position,” a source at ABC told Mediaite in response to Haley’s video.
The video appears to be produced by her advocacy group, “Stand For America.” It frames Haley’s comments as “a thoughtful way to discuss a sensitive issue,” and contrasts them with Goldberg’s comments seemingly painted negatively.

Anyone who’s watched The View recently knows that Meghan McCain and Joy Behar can really get heatedon any numberof topics.
There’s been some gossip surrounding the show over the on-air feuding at The View. A new Daily Mail report says things are so bad that Whoopi Goldberg is tired of having to keep the peace:
[I]nsiders revealed Whoopi is growing less tolerant of McCain’s blow-ups on camera and the EGOT winner’s positive energy on Monday’s show was proof.
‘Whoopi is at her breaking point with Meghan. She’s been trying to hang in there, especially keep the peace with Meghan and Joy, but we all know she’s about to break,’ a source told DailyMail.com.
Whoopi Goldberg was briefly censored on Thursday as she voiced her irritation with how President Donald Trump conducted himself throughout his travels abroad.
The View used their A-Block to talk about the anniversary of D-Day and everything that was at stake when American soldiers launched the invasion of Normandy in World War II. The conversation eventually took a turn when Ana Navarro noted that Trump made political comments against his foes during an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, but Nancy Pelosideclined to comment even after the president attacked her.
From there, the panel brought up every other slam Trump made against his domestic critics this week, and Joy Behar said it was “rich” to watch Trump’s conduct in France amid that context. Goldberg made it clear she did not want to continue the conversation — as her sound cut out while she was venting her frustration.

The View host Whoopi Goldberg spoke in defense of a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion, or never to have an abortion, telling anti-choice Republicans “I don’t want you in my coochie!”
On Tuesday morning’s edition pf ABC’s The View, Goldberg played a recent clip of former Republican Governor Nikki Haley speaking before an anti-abortion rights group, and saying that expecting women to support a pro-choice position is “not real feminism.”
Goldberg then addressed Haley’s comments in a lengthy rant.
“So let me get this straight, so giving a woman a choice about what to do with her body is anti-feminist?” Goldberg said, adding “you have the right never to have an abortion. You have that right. And I support that.”
“But what about the 9-year-old girl who gets raped by a family member or some thug in the street?” Goldberg asked. Continue reading "Whoopi Goldberg Goes Off on Nikki Haley Over Abortion Rights: ‘I Don’t Want You in My Coochie!’"
Former Republican strategist and current CNN contributor and The View co-host Ana Navarro had a singular message to all of the United Kingdom, no doubt to their collective relief: “I’m sorry.”
That was the message she delivered on The View on Monday as Donald Trump‘s state visit got underway and cable news has been wall-to-wall with clips and images of the royals and the Trumps mixing and mingling.
The hosts were discussing the visit, and in the clip above, you can hear Whoopi Goldberg talking about how Trump has lost more money than anyone, and they are discussing whether he’s actually talking about policy or politics. They talked about how he is less popular than the ‘American Princess’ Meghan Markleabout whom he was asked, and the big baby balloon that protesters fly when Trump comes to town, and the feud with London MayorSadiq Khan, Continue reading "Ana Navarro Apologizes to the U.K. for President Trump’s Visit"
Massachusetts Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren pushed back at Meghan McCain‘s criticism of her Fox News boycott, despite McCain’s insistence that the network is not “a racist organization.”
Warren has refused to appear on Fox News because she doesn’t want to “help sell ads for an outlet that profits from racism and hate,” a position that was challenged during her extended interview on Thursday’s edition of The View.
Although the other hosts have previously criticized Warren’s decision, it was Meghan McCain who confronted Warren over the issue.
“I was surprised when you rejected it, just because I know you’re someone who will go to spaces where you’re not necessarily liked,” McCain said. “And I think, with all due respect, it’s a little short-sighted not to speak to the Fox audience.”

The View co-host Meghan McCain said Donald Trump is “obsessed with the fact that he’ll never be a great man” like her father, late Sen. John McCain, in response to the president saying an unknown official who attempted to obscure the name of the USS John McCain. was “well-meaning.”
Low-level Navy officials and a staffer in the White House Military Office were reportedly behind the attempts to hide the boat or its name from view as the president gave his Memorial Day speech near it in Japan.
“I will say the president’s actions have consequences,” McCain said on today’s airing of The View. “When you’re repeatedly attacking my father and war heroes, it creates a culture in the military where people are clearly fearful to show my father’s name in one way or another. That I think is what started this chain of events and actions.”

The person operating the “dump” button on The View has been awfully busy Tuesday morning.
In each of the first two segments of the ABC daytime talk show, the audio was cut off for extended portions of the broadcast. First, Whoopi Goldberg was censored just as she threw to the show’s first commercial break. The audio cut out four times as Goldberg was blasting President Donald Trump for some of the insulting nicknames he has applied to his 2020 rivals.
Later, Joy Behar was cut off for two seconds during a rant about Trump trying to court black voters by attacking former Vice President Joe Biden over his role in getting the 1994 crime bill passed.
“Black people know about Charlottesville,” Behar said. “And they know about him saying that (audio cut out). And all the racism, and all the stuff that he says. They know about it, I’m sure. Continue reading "The View Censors Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, During Anti-Trump Screeds"
The View was fired up on Thursday as they talked about the explosive collapse of President Donald Trump‘s infrastructure meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.
The conversation began with Sunny Hostin saying Trump broached an “impeachable offense” with his “preposterous” vow to not execute his executive duties until Congress stops conducting oversight on his administration. As the table discussed all the cover-ups Trump claimed he never engages in, Meghan McCain bemoaned the “party posturing on both sides” and the “humor” certain people might find in the absurdity of the meeting despite its seriousness.
As the discussion moved towards the breakdown of bipartisanship, Behar said it was “a bunch of baloney” to put Pelosi on a false equivalence with Trump here after everything Republicans did to act against former president Barack Obama. McCain stuck to her view that “everyone is at fault,” and said to Behar that “as long Continue reading "Meghan McCain, Joy Behar Skirmish on Demonizing Republicans: ‘Put This Crap Aside’ and Help America"
The hosts of The View all came together to criticize Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson and what they see has his misplaced talents in President Donald Trump’s cabinet.
“You’re a great surgeon. You’re a magnificent surgeon,” Whoopi Goldberg said Wednesday. “I know this because Sunny told me, her husband told me. You need to get out of HUD, get out of there.”
Sunny Hostin followed up, explaining that her husband studied at John Hopkins University and Carson was one of his professors. “He was so welcoming to us … he’s just not placed well here.”
“As someone who did grow up in the projects, Ben,” Hostin said. “You’re not in the right place.”
The hosts were speaking about Carson’s hearing with a House committee, where Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) asked him about REO properties – which Carson apparently misinterpreted as a question about Oreo Continue reading "The View Hosts Tell Ben Carson to Leave Job in the Trump Administration: ‘Get Out of There’"
Meghan McCain gave her colleagues on The View the cold shoulder Tuesday when she chose to no longer participate in their conversation about Democrats challenging Donald Trump for the presidency.
After a bruising conversation in which Joy Behar said Republicans should be locked up for protecting Trump by refusing to comply with subpoenas, the panel talked about how the Democrats are trying to decide on how they’re going to approach Trump as 2020 draws closer. When Behar asked McCain if she wants to see a Democrat win, she answered that former House Speaker Paul Ryan is her fantasy pick because “I can’t get behind any of these Democrats” running for president.
Behar responded by noting McCain’s worries about the field of Democratic nominees, and Sunny Hostin also brought up McCain’s affinity for Joe Biden.
“Everyone knows I like Joe Biden,” McCain responded. “He helped me through my father’s cancer, everyone Continue reading "Watch Meghan McCain Totally Shut Down During Bitter 2020 View Debate: ‘I’ve Said All I Have to Say’"
“Lock ’em up!”
That’s what The View‘s Joy Behar suggested was the due course of action regarding all Republicans — with perhaps an exception for Rep. Justin Amash — over the Mueller report and the failure to impeach and the administration’s refusal to comply with congressional subpoenas.
After some back-and-forth with Meghan McCain, Behar characterized the comment as hyperbole, though from context it was clear that it was only hyperbolic in the sense of action that can be taken, but that the sentiment behind it was genuine, especially with her reference to Nixon.
Host Whoopi Goldberg posed the question of whether the refusal of Don McGahn to comply with a subpoena constitutes its own instance of obstruction of justice. Co-host Sonny Hostin answered first, saying that she thinks he is at least “in contempt of the subpoena” and that there should or will be “repercussions.”

SPOILER ALERT: To be clear, as the headline suggests, the video below contains the BIGGEST possible spoiler for HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’. Like, the whole enchilada. If you didn’t watch the finale, but still want to, do not watch this clip. Also, don’t read this post. In fact, go away and watch it already. Fair Warning.
In a View segment that rivaled the “Game of Thrones” finale itself in entertainment value, Meghan McCain spoiled the ending of the show, and the series, in a blurted comment that caused a Stark-side-of-the-Red-Wedding reaction among her co-hosts. And no doubt the internet at large.
The end of the series was the subject of the show’s Hot Topic segment on Monday, and dedicated fan McCain was there for the fan-favorite pastime of being disappointed with it, but not everyone was ready to hear the end. Although to be fair to McCain, and as she
Saturday Night Live took some hard shots at The View host Meghan McCain during a sketch on the season finale, portraying her as an unhinged supporter of the near-total ban on abortion that was signed into law in Alabama this week.
On this week’s edition of SNL, Aidy Bryant reprised her portrayal of McCain in a sketch that began with The View hosts discussing the Alabama abortion ban. When it was “McCain’s” turn to speak, she asked “OK, can I talk now?” and said “OK, I am the only daughter at this table. So I have to say, these senators are actually very good and fun guys.”
Then, without having been interrupted, Bryant’s McCain pleaded “Now, please, please, guys, let me talk.”
Informed that she hadn’t been interrupted, “McCain” complained “See, I’m getting attacked, and as the person most upset right now, I am right.”

Political commentator Ana Navarro says she believes the 2020 field of presidential contenders is “beginning to look like a clown car.”
Speaking on The View Friday, Navarro says “I want a Democrat that can beat [President] Donald Trump, and it’s beginning to look like a clown car” to the applause of the audience.
“You know, at some point they’re going to get serious. Running for president shouldn’t be able getting a cable gig or selling a book or ending up on Dancing with the Stars,” Navarro said.
She then gestured to some laughing audience members and said “You guys laugh, but Rick Perry was on Dancing with the Stars.”
Perry, the former GOP presidential candidate and the second contestant eliminated from the dance competition in 2016, is currently Secretary of the Department of Energy in the Trump administration.

Shock jock Howard Stern denied ever using the n-word when confronted by The View co-host Sunny Hostin, but there is video evidence that he did so repeatedly, and in a particularly ironic twist, used it in a sketch mocking now-lead host of The ViewWhoopi Goldberg.
Hostin confronted Stern about his radio show on Thursday’s episode of The View, telling him ” I was in college in the ‘80s, and I found your show so offensive.”
“Thank you,” Stern joked.
“You were a shock jock, you used the end word a lot,” Hostin said, as Stern objected “No I didn’t, I used the n-word?”
“Yeah you did,” Hostin replied over Stern’s objections. “I do, I remember it.”
“Whoopi, hold on, no,” Stern said. “We had a guy on from the Ku Klux Klan who very freely used the n-word, and my belief was hey, say Continue reading "Howard Stern Denied Using N-Word on The View, But This Shocking Video Shows He Did"
Howard Stern weighed in on President Donald Trump’s long history of appearances on his show during an appearance on The View to promote his new book: Howard Stern Comes Again.
The famed radio shock jock recalled his favorite interview with Trump, who regularly called in during his career as a New York businessman.
“The highlight of the interviews of Trump, in my opinion, is the phenomenal fight he gets into on the air with A.J. Benza, the gossip columnist,” Stern explained. “It was unbelievable. They start yelling at each other, and what are they fighting over? A woman. A.J. had a girlfriend and Trump was having sex with her. And Trump was on the air bragging that he stole A.J.’s girl and he was better sexually than A.J.”
In the same interview, Benza said Trump boasted to him about sleeping with women in Continue reading "Howard Stern Mocks Trump’s Prowess on The View: ‘He’s So Hot Sexually!’"
